Parental Responsibility

Parents of junior members will be required to be in attendance during the first eight visits of the probationary period, and are encouraged to come along past that time. There are several reasons for this.

1 Should the member be required to leave the premises then there would be someone on hand to take them home.

2 Parents can satisfy themselves that they are happy with the club organisation and are prepared to let their children continue to participate in the sport and to what level.

3 Accumulating a set of equipment is expensive and an understanding of what is required and why is essential.

4 It is illegal for a person under 18 years of age to buy ammunition or have it in their possession outside the range.

5 It is important that parents learn about the sport and the laws regarding firearms. Any personal firearm or ammunition used by a member under 18 years will belong to the parent and will only be lent to the member for club sessions or competitions and it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that the law is adhered to.
